About Us

We are elementary educators who teach in Minnesota. In 2024, we decided to put our love for rhymes and doodles together to publish a story of our own. We hope you find the characters endearing and the storyline pertinent for children as they interact and build friendships.

Sophie Polland

Sophie is a mom and educator who had a desire to see a book series that taught life lessons on friendship through rhyming and catchy tunes. This idea has excitedly turned into a first published book after her coworker Jamie Lawless agreed to create illustrations that make the story come to life. She is excited to share family and educator resources to go with this book on kindness as she continues to write the next books in the series.

Jamie has always had a passion for teaching and art. She has always aspired to illustrate a book of her own, and is happy to first accomplish this goal with her coworker, Sophie Polland. As a teacher, building community in the classroom is one of the most important tasks in a school year. Jamie is excited and hopeful that the books written and illustrated in collaboration with Sophie will be used to build community and instill traits, such as kindness, in children everywhere.
